Post Holiday trip to Phoenix area- Dec 26 to 31, 2013

Spent Christmas night at Fantasy Springs Casino hotel in Indio and left the next morning to Phoenix area. First stop in Phoenix was the Arizona Mills Mall

Tired after a long drive and holiday mall crowds

Then on to a 2 night stay at the Harrah's Ak-Chin in Mariposa, AZ, about 25 miles south of Phoenix-

After leaving Harrah's, we stopped by the Wild Pass Casino for lunch and a little slot play-

Then on to the Residence Inn Phoenix Airport for 3 nights. We had a big 2 bedroom/2 bath suite with kitchen-

Drove around Scottsdale and saw the Christmas lights on the way to Talking Stick Casino-

Spent the next day enjoying the countryside. We drove the "Apache Trail" through the Superstition Mountains east of Phoenix. We stopped at an outdoor Museum with exhibits, then on to the Goldfield Ghost Town for a walk around the little town, then 18 miles through the winding hills to the little burg of Tortilla Flat, population 6-

On our last full day we just drove around Tempe and Chandler checking out the towns, then went to the Zoo Lights exhibit at the Phoenix Zoo in the evening-
