Creme Caramel Gelato!! Low carb- NOT, but who cares! (Oh, and the storekeepers are already trying to talk to Clemente in Chinese- the Gelato guy AND a Filipino woman walking her dog)

Our "first" church of MANY over the next few days. This is the Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli, designed by Michaelangelo
Well, we finally got out after a short nap. We walked some of the neighborhood and over to the main train station area (Termini) as we were taking a 2 hour city tour from there. We had dinner at a cafeteria type place- quite good. We then took the double decker bus open on the top. It got quite cool. We waited until after sundown as we wanted to see things lit up at night. We drove by probably 75% of the sites but didn't get off the bus until the end. There are alot of people on the street here on Sat night! After getting off the bus, we walked over to Trevi Fountain, had our FIRST gelato of the trip- combo of peach & creme caramel- too DIE for! Then to grocery store for provisions- small stores but contain alot. Now time for a GOOD nights sleep!

We are so excited for you guys! So happy you made it there safely and that you have internet access. I love that you can see the Vatican from your balcony! Have the time of your life!
