Checking the weather from the balcony. Cathedral (in the distance) is open for visitors on Sunday afternoon so heading there now.
Main altar
Went to the Royal Chapel next door where King Ferdinand & Queen Isabela are buried. This is the altar in front of their resting place.
Under the floor, you can go into the crypt and see their coffins
Before we came to Spain, we arranged a "Tapas Tour" for Sunday night. Gayle Mackie, our beautiful Scottish hostess who has lived in Granada for about 15 years, met us at our apartment and took us on a walking tour of our neighborhood tapas bars. Included was 4 stops, each with a glass of wine or beer and it came with whatever tapas that restaurant was serving (except the first place we got to choose and we had some snails). If you ever come to Granada, this tour is a MUST! Gayle is the perfect hostess and explains everything as you go about the food, restaurants, and sites as you walk. Here is her website www.granadatapastours.com
Below is our first stop
And finally, the 4th bar (just happened to be a gay bar about 2 blocks from apartment)
