Our itinerary

Here our are plans if all goes well-
Sun Nov 23- Fly out of LAX, change planes in Dallas on way to Frankfurt (and Clemente's birthday today!)
Mon Nov 24- Arrive 7am Frankfurt airport (9 hours later in time difference than LA), transfer to train at 9am for 3 hour ride to Munich. Our hotel is less than a mile from the train station in Munich- Carat Hotel & Apartments. We have an apartment for 5 nights. Spend the rest of the day just walking around central Munich
Tue Nov 25- Visit the Residenz Museum & Treasury (former home of King Ludwig I). Have 7pm reservation for a 2 hour tour of the BMW plant to see them make the cars
Wed Nov 26- Daytrip 80 miles (2 hours by train) to the fairy tale castle of Neuschwanstein & Hohenschwangau, tour the small town of Fussen. Maybe go to the Winterfestival at night at the Oktoberfest grounds when returning to Munich
Thur Nov 27- Trip to the former Dachau Concentration Camp just outside the city, then back into Munich to a museum or two and the Medieval Xmas Market
Fri Nov 28- Trip to Schloss Nymphenberg, another castle and grounds and then the evening at the Christmas Markets in downtown
Sat Nov 29- Take 3 1/2 hour train to Rothenberg-ob-der-Tauber, the medieval walled city. Check in to the quaint Hotel Gerberhaus for 2 nights. Take the Nightwatchmans Walking Tour of the city
Sun Nov 30- Tour this unique walled city, Xmas market & stores, Churches, etc
Mon Dec 1- Take 4 1/2 hour train to Dusseldorf for 5 night stay at the Burns Art & Culture Apartments (this is the city where Bill's great grandfather was born). Spend rest of day touring the city
Tue Dec 2- Tour the city, Xmas markets, shopping streets, etc
Wed Dec 3- Take daytrip to Cologne to see the Cathedral, many Xmas markets and walk the city
Thur Dec 4- Take daytrip to Essen to see the city & markets
Fri Dec 5- Visit the area along the Rhine in Dusseldorf and check out some of the neighborhoods
Sat Dec 6- Take 3 hour train to Brussels for 4 night stay at Hotel Arlequin. Arrive on the Feast of St Nicholas which is a big holiday there. Spend evening in main square area
Sun Dec 7- Take 1/2 day trip to Antwerp to see the city & then back to Brussels for more sightseeing
Mon Dec 8- Take daytrip to Bruge & Ghent to tour these cities downtown areas
Tue Dec 9- Final shopping day & museums- load up on goodies to bring home
Wed Dec 10- Flight from Brussels to LAX, via Chicago
